Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is one of the strongest, most versatile softwoods grown in North America. Renowned for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio, dimensional stability, and beautiful reddish-brown heartwood, Douglas Fir is a premium choice for structural framing, heavy timber construction, glulam beams, plywood manufacturing and high-end millwork.

Key Properties:
• Density: 530 kg/m³ (33 lb/ft³) at 12% MC
• Modulus of Rupture: ~12,400 psi – one of the highest among softwoods
• Excellent strength, stiffness and machinability
• Naturally resistant to decay in heartwood
• Tight, straight grain with attractive reddish-brown color

• Diameter: 30 cm to 80 cm+ (small end)
• Length: 2.4 m to 12 m, custom lengths available
• Grades: Domestic, Export Select, Industrial
• Treatment: Debarked, fumigated and ISPM-15 compliant for export
