American Black Cherry (Prunus serotina), often simply called Cherry, is one of the most desirable cabinet hardwoods grown in the United States. Famous for its warm reddish-brown heartwood that deepens and richens beautifully with age and exposure to light, Cherry combines elegant beauty with excellent workability – making it a top choice for fine furniture and architectural interiors.

• Density: 560 kg/m³ (35 lb/ft³) at 12% MC
• Hardness (Janka): 950 lbf – medium hardness, easy to work
• Warm reddish-brown heartwood that patinas over time
• Fine, straight grain with smooth uniform texture
• Excellent dimensional stability – minimal movement
• Outstanding machining, carving and finishing properties
• Naturally moderate resistance to decay

• Length: 2.4 m to 4.9 m (standard saw log lengths)
• Grades: Veneer/Prime, FAS Saw Logs, Select, Industrial
